Manager Change
Some of you already know but Andy Levins has chosen to step down as the manger of the Under 11's team, we are sad that this has happened but we understand his reasons and accept his decision, Dan Wood who has been coaching the Under 9's has taken on the job and will continue the good work that Andy started and build on this. Andy is still a big part of the club and will be assisting with the other age groups when he can.
We currently have some excellent sponsors who have been with us for some time and have been kind enough to continue to support the club, however as the club grows we are always looking for new sponsors to help us along, this can be for Kit , equipment or an event held by the club (i.e. our presentation night) if you or anyone you know would be interested in helping Preston Blades, please contact the club secretary on 01903 850127.
At Preston Blades we are constantly on the look out for ways to give children a chance to play Football this year I was introduced to someone who coaches and helps the children in Africa. These Children don't have the things that we take for granted in football, they don't have shoes, let alone football boots and the playing surface is mud, or sand. Most of the time the children run around just happy to have the chance to kick a ball. At the end of a season or when football stops and the kits are getting bundled up and stuck in a bag and left in a garage or shed only to be thrown out in a few years, don't let it happen! We would like that kit, for every kit that is sent out 10-15 Children have the chance to feel really special, these kits, that served us through a couple of seasons that now mean so little to us as we have fancy new ones, can mean so much to them. So if you know of any one that is doing a kit change or giving up kit, please let us know, we will have the kit sent out to Africa, and be able to make a few more people smile by enabling them to play the game that makes us happy every week .
As Coaches and members of a children's Football club we have a lot of responsibilities. Soccer Parent is designed with coaches and parents in mind to provide guidance on specific areas that focus on the key issues involved when a child joins a football team.
Why not try an FA online FREE course called soccer parent "Click Here" Let us know how you get on.
